About the Role
Responsive is hiring our first Senior User Researcher to lead the charge in building a world-class research function from the ground up. In this strategic role, you’ll work cross-functionally with product, design, engineering, and customer success to deeply understand user behaviors, needs, and motivations. Your insights will shape the direction of our products and influence decisions at every stage of the product development lifecycle.
As a foundational Senior User Researcher, you’ll drive the vision and execution of research initiatives that shape intuitive, effective, and impactful product experiences. You’ll take ownership of complex research challenges, leading studies from scoping to synthesis while balancing user needs and business goals. Collaborating closely with product managers, designers, and engineers, you’ll influence strategy, advocate for user-centered decision-making, and elevate the role of research across Responsive.
This role requires someone who is proactive, strategic, and deeply invested in understanding users—someone who can balance organizational priorities with user insights while mentoring teammates in research thinking and contributing to our evolving product development culture. Beyond individual studies, you’ll build and refine research processes, establish scalable practices, and create systems to amplify the voice of the user. Your influence will extend beyond projects, helping to shape our broader user experience strategy and fostering a strong, insights-driven culture across the organization.
