About the Role
Remote/Hybrid in Dallas, TX
We are seeking a proactive and skilled IT Manager to lead our IT operations, infrastructure, and support functions. This role requires a manager who is equally comfortable strategizing IT initiatives and rolling up their sleeves to tackle technical challenges directly. The ideal candidate will combine hands-on technical expertise with strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
Essential Functions
IT Infrastructure Management:
- Oversee, maintain, and enhance IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, hardware, and software.
- Ensure the security, scalability, and reliability of systems.
System Administration:
- Provide virtual and in-person IT onboarding support for new hires as needed, typically on a weekly basis
- Assist in the setup, configuration, and maintenance of IT equipment, including desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices.
- Managing licenses for internal softwares/applications such as GSuite, Zoom etc
Hands-On Technical Support:
- Provide direct support to resolve complex technical issues.
- Actively participate in system upgrades, troubleshooting, and configurations.
- Allocate resources effectively to meet project deadlines and operational demands.
IT Strategy & Planning:
- Develop and implement IT policies, procedures, and roadmaps aligned with business objectives.
- Identify opportunities for technology optimization and automation.
Vendor & Stakeholder Management:
- Coordinate with external vendors for procurement, system integrations, and support contracts.
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure IT solutions meet business needs.
Compliance & Security:
- Implement and enforce IT security protocols and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
- Monitor for vulnerabilities and take proactive measures to address risks.
Other
- Develop/maintain new-hire training guides, email distribution groups & document procedures/processes
- May manage and mentor other members of the team.
- Available for after hours and weekend emergency technical support coverage on rotational basis with other team members
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in IT roles, with at least 2 years in a managerial capacity.
- Proven hands-on experience with system administration, network management, and troubleshooting.
- Experience managing identity and access management (IAM) solutions, such as Okta, is a plus.
- Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and virtualization technologies is desirable
- Strong knowledge of cybersecurity practices and tools.
- Proficiency in scripting or automation tools (e.g., PowerShell, Python, or Ansible) is a plus.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
Additional Information
The compensation range for this role is $120,000-$130,000 On-Target Earnings (base + bonuses), depending on experience and location.
