About the Role

Hybrid/Remote in Portland OR or Dallas TX

The Senior Program Manager within the Operational Excellence Team is responsible for the successful execution of complex, cross-functional programs aligned to operational process optimization and effectiveness. This role involves overseeing the entire project lifecycle including ideation, stakeholder coordination, risk mitigation, budget and schedule management, implementation, communications, change management, success measurement, and exec-level reporting. The Senior Program Manager will also work closely with key stakeholders, including senior leadership, to identify and drive operational change initiatives, efficiency improvements, and OKRs to support the organization’s growth and transformation goals. This role supports global teams and may require a flex schedule.


Reporting to the Director of Operational Efficiency, you will have an opportunity to have an immediate and meaningful impact on the company. Essential Functions

Process Improvement:

  • Evaluate current processes, tools, and methodologies with cross-functional teams to identify inefficiencies and implement process improvement initiatives.
  • Work with leaders to identify, track, and report on Objectives & Key Results (OKRs) that align clearly with company goals.
  • Utilize methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen to optimize operational performance.
  • Champion process improvements and garner support and buy-in through clear and motivating communications at all levels of the company
  • Facilitate the development of training and establish a cross-functional support system
  • Successfully develop and present executive-level content and ideas

Program Management & Execution:

  • Establish project intake, prioritization, and delivery mechanisms.
  • Direct large-scale, operational efficiency initiatives that will yield demonstrable improvements in key areas such as time-to-deliver, reduction of waste, and value realization.
  • Utilize detailed project plans, timelines, resource allocation, and budgets for successful delivery.
  • Oversee teams, assign responsibilities, and ensure timely task completion.
  • Redesign workflows, eliminate inefficiencies, and implement best practices
  • Identify key success measures and outcomes with sponsors and key stakeholders

Stakeholder Management:

  • Serve as a primary contact between the Operational Excellence team and leadership, aligning on goals and timelines.
  • Continuously collaborate with global, cross-functional teams (Ops, IT, Finance, People Operations, etc.) to maintain momentum and focus.
  • Provide regular updates on status, risks, and issues to stakeholders.

Risk Management & Issue Resolution:

  • Identify risks, develop mitigation strategies, and resolve project issues by working with stakeholders.
  • De-escalate critical issues through proactive leadership, ensuring risk management across projects. Propose options and solutions for consideration.
  • Utilize proven decision-making frameworks.

Change Management & Communication:

  • Define and lead organizational change efforts for the smooth adoption of new processes/tech.
  • Develop and maintain communication plans to keep stakeholders informed.
  • Provide training, support, and guidance for teams impacted by changes.

Performance Monitoring & Reporting:

  • Track key metrics and provide regular updates to management.
  • Ensure on-time, within-budget delivery while meeting scope and quality standards.

Leadership & Mentorship:

  • Mentor project managers, promoting a culture of accountability and improvement.
  • Lead by example, fostering operational excellence within the team.

Budget & Resource Management:

  • Manage budgets and resources effectively, identifying cost savings.

Qualifications

 

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations Management, Organizational Leadership, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Experience: 10+ years of progressive experience in project/program management, process improvement, or a related field, with 3-5 years of experience in organizational operations
  • Certifications: PMP Certification, Lean, Six Sigma (Black Belt preferred), or similar process improvement methodologies are a plus.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies, operational processes, and optimization techniques.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Experience visually and verbally demonstrating performance metrics, complex ideas, workflows, and senior-level reporting.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to execute tactically and on time.
  • Enjoys hands-on experience.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Collaborative and able to work effectively with teams at all levels.
  • Ability to drive change and manage large-scale improvement initiatives.

Additional Information

Hybrid/Remote (possibly to convert to onsite locally) with 10-15%  travel expected across multiple locations as needed.

The compensation range for this role is $120,000-$145,000 On-Target Earnings (base + bonuses), depending on experience and location.
