About the Role
Responsive, the leading response management software solution on the market, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior FP&A Manager to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a strong analytical background and proven experience in financial planning and analysis. You will play a crucial role in driving financial performance, providing insights to senior management, and supporting key business decisions. Reporting to the Director FP&A, the Senior FP&A Manager should be comfortable adapting to changing circumstances, be entrepreneurial in spirit, and be capable of influencing and affecting change at the highest levels of the organization.
As a requirement for this position, the candidate should be willing to work in US Shift hours part of the time.
Essential Responsibilites
- Financial Planning and Forecasting:
- Develop and maintain rolling forecasts, identifying potential risks and opportunities.
- Create and analyze financial models to support business planning and decision-making.
- Financial Reporting and Analysis:
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including variance analysis and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Provide insightful financial analysis to senior management, highlighting trends and performance drivers.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track financial performance and provide actionable insights.
- Process Improvement:
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in FP&A processes.
- Develop and maintain financial policies and procedures.
- Utilize financial software and tools to streamline reporting and analysis.
- Team Leadership:
- Mentor and develop junior FP&A team members.
- Manage team workload and ensure timely completion of deliverables.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. MBA preferred.
Experience
- 12+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, preferably in a SaaS environment.
- 5+ years in a supervisory or management position
- Excellent knowledge of financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
Knowledge Skills & Attitude
- Strong understanding of GAAP accounting and SaaS metrics.
- Extremely strong financial modeling skills.
- Highly proficient with MS Office Suite and familiarity with Google Suite.
- Experience with planning software (experience with Planful a plus).
- Excellent analytical skills with a strong focus on accuracy and detail orientation.
- The ability to “dive deep” into the details, coupled with the ability to “come up for air” and present summarized findings to company leadership.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills – you tell the story, you don’t just report the numbers.
- Natural curiosity with and ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing and executing multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Must be capable of building strong relationships with colleagues and presenting to business leaders.
