About the Role

Product Designers at Responsive collaborate with product managers, engineers, and other product designers on all areas of user experience, research, prototyping, interaction design, and visual design. We care about the details, empathize deeply, and are comfortable with ambiguity. We’re fluent in the design thinking processes necessary to identify the problem, craft solutions, and build paradigm-shifting products for the organizations who use our products.

 

As a Product Designer, you’ll play a key role in shaping intuitive and visually compelling experiences across our products. You’ll have the opportunity to expand your expertise by owning design initiatives from ideation to execution, collaborating closely with product managers and engineers to drive meaningful outcomes. Your work will include crafting user flows, building interactive prototypes, designing polished high-fidelity visuals, and iterating based on user insights. You’ll also contribute to and evolve our design system, ensuring consistency and scalability. With the support of design leaders and cross-functional partners, you’ll grow your influence and help elevate both the user experience and visual impact of our products.

Essential Functions

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design user-friendly, scalable, and accessible digital experiences.
  • Use design thinking methodologies to identify user pain points, define solutions, and prototype new features.
  • Create wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, and interactive prototypes using tools like Figma.
  • Work within and contribute to our design system, ensuring consistency and scalability across our products.
  • Partner with developers to ensure design intent is maintained throughout implementation.
  • Assist in user research and testing to validate design decisions and gather insights.
  • Present design concepts and rationale to stakeholders, incorporating feedback to refine solutions.

Experience

  • 3-5 years of experience in product design, UX/UI design, or interaction design.
  • Proficiency in Figma, Sketch, or similar design tools.
  • Experience working with design systems and creating reusable UI components.
  • Strong systems-thinking mindset, able to break down complex workflows into intuitive experiences.
  • Experience working closely with cross-functional teams, including Product Managers and Developers, to ship high-quality products.
  • A human-centered design approach, always considering the user’s needs and behaviors.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate ambiguity and balance user needs with business goals.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, able to articulate design rationale and facilitate discussions.

A portfolio showcasing product design work, including UX/UI solutions, design process, and strategic thinking.

Knowledge & Skills

  • Experience designing for enterprise or SaaS products.
  • Experience designing for AI interactions, be it chat or agentic AI.
  • Knowledge of accessibility (WCAG).
  • Familiarity with front-end technologies (HTML/CSS/React) to collaborate more effectively with engineers.
  • Experience contributing in usability testing and qualitative/quantitative research.

Additional Information

Compensation range for this role is $95,000-$115,000 on-target earnings (base + bonuses), depending on experience and location
