About the role:

Join Responsive’s Marketing Web team as a Senior Web Developer and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our web presence. You’ll oversee the development and maintenance of our marketing website, ensuring high-quality, performant, and visually sharp experiences that align with our brand and growth goals.

You’ll lead front-end initiatives, mentor other web developers, and set technical standards and best practices. You’ll drive impactful projects like new solution pages, performance and SEO improvements, and ongoing brand and content refreshes using modern frameworks (React, Next.js), a headless CMS, and solid analytics/experimentation.

This is a hands-on role for someone who loves to build, refactor, measure, and repeat.

What you will do:

  • Lead development: Own the development, maintenance, and evolution of the Responsive marketing website built with Next.js, React, and Tailwind CSS.

  • Architect the CMS: Design and maintain content models, page types, and schemas in our headless CMS (Prismic), enabling marketers and content teams to move quickly without sacrificing quality.

  • Translate design into reality: Work from Figma to build accessible, mobile-first, pixel-precise UI that feels cohesive with our brand and design system.

  • Optimize for performance & SEO: Implement and improve Core Web Vitals, lazy loading, caching, image optimization, and technical SEO best practices. Use SEO tooling and analytics to identify issues and opportunities.

  • Innovate Continuously: Stay updated with the latest in React, Next.js, and front-end trends. Propose and implement improvements in UX, UI, and web tooling.

  • Support growth & experimentation: Collaborate with Marketing to support faster development cycles, reduce bugs, and increase sign-ups through A/B tests, landing page experiments, and new modules.

  • GEO (Generative Engine Optimization): Stay current on GEO best practices and help structure site content so Responsive is accurately cited, surfaced, and referenced across LLM-driven search experiences.

  • Mentor & guide: Provide technical leadership to the web development team. Review code, refine patterns, and foster a culture of clean, maintainable, testable front-end code.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally: Partner with Marketing, Creative, SEO, and Product stakeholders to align web solutions with business objectives and ship work that is both beautiful and measurable.

  • Ensure scalability: Build modular, reusable components grounded in clear separation of concerns, lean code patterns, and well-structured templates that align with our design system and development standards.

  • Collaborate via Git: Manage code repositories, conduct reviews, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using platforms like GitHub and Vercel.

Who you are:

  • Experienced web developer: 7+ years, ideally having worked in a Marketing organization with strong proficiency in React, Next.js, TypeScript, APIs, and Tailwind CSS.

  • Modern web advocate: Hands-on experience with Headless CMS (Prismic preferred, but open to others like Contentful, Sanity, or Strapi).

  • UI/UX collaboration: Ability to work alongside designers, understanding Figma/Adobe XD workflows, and ensuring pixel-perfect implementations.

  • SEO & performance aware: Knowledge of technical SEO principles, Core Web Vitals, and performance optimization.

  • Leader by example: Prior experience mentoring developers or leading projects (formal management not required).

  • Agile mindset: Comfortable working in Agile/Scrum environments with tools like Jira, Slack, and Confluence.

  • Version control pro: Strong Git skills, familiar with pull requests, branching strategies, and code reviews.

  • Preferred skills:

    • Familiarity with GraphQL.

    • Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and deployment on platforms like Vercel.

    • Animation libraries (Framer Motion, GSAP) for enhancing UI interactivity.

    • Hands-on familiarity with GA4 event tracking, including implementing custom interaction events
