About the Role

The Senior Technical Writer plays a strategic role in shaping the documentation experience across multiple products. This role goes beyond content creation, encompassing documentation strategy, process improvement, cross-functional collaboration, and mentoring to ensure high-quality, user-focused documentation.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Own and drive the documentation strategy for multiple products and features.
  • Create and maintain high-quality technical documentation, including developer guides, API documentation, and user-facing content.

  • Define, implement, and maintain documentation standards, templates, style guides, and best practices.
  • Review, edit, and proofread documentation to ensure clarity, accuracy, consistency, and technical correctness.

  • Partner with Product, Engineering, and leadership teams to align documentation initiatives with business and product objectives.

  • Mentor and coach Technical Writers by providing constructive feedback and promoting consistent writing standards.

  • Collaborate with UX teams to improve product usability through effective UI text and in-product content.

  • Work closely with Support, Professional Services, and Customer Success teams to identify documentation gaps, improve Help Center content, and increase ticket deflection.

  • Conduct content audits, usability testing, and documentation analytics reviews to continuously improve content quality and user experience.

  • Drive process improvements, automation, and operational efficiencies across the documentation lifecycle.

     

Education

Any Bachelor Degree (Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent preferred)

Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in technical writing, with demonstrated leadership in documentation strategy and content development.

  • Strong expertise in structured authoring, API documentation, UX writing, and content management systems.

  • Experience working in Agile environments and collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.

Knowledge Ability & Skills

  • Solid understanding of software development practices, cloud technologies, and DevOps concepts and tools.

  • Proven ability to lead documentation initiatives, define documentation roadmaps, and influence stakeholders across the organization.

  • Excellent writing, editing, research, and communication skills, with a strong focus on technical accuracy and user-centric content.
