About the Role

Responsive is seeking to hire a Documentation Specialist to gather and analyze information from a variety of sources (SMEs, leadership, documentation, and technical docs) to create business process documentation. In addition, the Documentation Specialist may be expected to facilitate workshops, fact-finding meetings, process walkthroughs, project management activities, and other necessary activities to gather and synthesize information into their process model. In this role, they are expected to have competency in creating standard documentation such as process maps, SOPS, policies, procedure doc, and other process-related documents.

To be successful as a Documentation Specialist, you will need to be able to work on tight deadlines, be competent in using Google Suite applications such as Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Slides, and have exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills.  You will be working on multiple Processes at once and will need to be able to prioritize your workload to stay on top of all assignments.

Essential responsibilities

  • Facilitation Skills – must be able to work with a variety of stakeholders and gather information
  • Process Mapping- Able to translate current processes, future processes, and business workings into process flows and process documentation.
  • Exceptional communication skills – both written and verbal.
  • Excellent analytical and abstract reasoning skills, as well as problem-solving ability
  • Experience with project management approaches, tools, and phases of the project lifecycle.
  • Able to work effectively at all levels in an organization.
  • Must be a team player and able to work with and through others.
  • Ability to facilitate teams toward a common vision or goal.
  • Intermediate skill level in Google Suite applications.
  • Prior experience in process management systems is a plus.

Education

  • A Bachelor's degree in business or a related field of study is recommended

     

Experience

  • 5 years as a Documentation Specialist or similar documentation creation role
  • 2 years in Process Mapping- Able to translate current processes, future processes, and business workings into process flows and process documentation. (Is a must)

Knowledge, Ability & Skills

  • Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience using computers for a variety of tasks.
  • Competency in G-Suite applications
  • Knowledge of file management, transcription, and other administrative procedures.
  • Ability to work on tight deadlines.
  • Prior experience in process management systems is a plus.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt preferred.
