About the Role
The Director, Finance will play a pivotal role in driving the financial strategy, forecasting, and
analytical capabilities for Responsive. This position requires a dynamic leader with a strong
background in finance, data analysis and business strategy. The ideal candidate will be responsible
for optimizing financial processes, providing actionable insights, driving transformative projects in
processes and tools, and ensuring that data-driven decisions are made to support business growth
and profitability.
Essential Functions
Financial Leadership & Strategy
- Develop tools, processes and dashboards to provide accurate financial reporting,
- forecasting, and budgeting processes.
- Partner with senior leadership to develop and execute financial strategies that align
- with the company’s goals and growth plans.
- Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial statements, ensuring accuracy,
- compliance, and alignment with accounting principles.
- Drive the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, providing
- strategic insights to key stakeholders.
Data Analytics & Business Insights
- Develop and implement advanced financial models and analytics to drive data-
- informed decision-making across the organization.
- Provide actionable insights to improve financial performance, operational
- efficiency, and profitability.
- Lead the development and management of key performance indicators (KPIs) and
- financial dashboards for tracking organizational performance.
- Develop tools and dashboards to monitor cash flow, working capital, and
- profitability to ensure financial health and sustainable growth.
Business Partnering & Stakeholder Management
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, providing financial expertise and
- guidance on business decisions and strategic initiatives.
- Collaborate with functional leaders (e.g., Marketing, Operations, HR) to align
- financial strategies with business needs and priorities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Data Science, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in finance analytics, transformation, or related fields, including leadership roles.
- Proven track record in driving finance transformation initiatives and implementing advanced analytics tools.
- Deep understanding of financial principles, modeling, and business strategy.
- Experience with financial systems, data visualization platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau), and ERP solutions.
- Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate at all levels of the organization.
- Strong project management skills and the ability to drive complex initiatives from concept to completion.
- Resilience and adaptability in a fast-paced, evolving business environment.
