The Sales Development Representative (SDR) team is the primary driver of new business opportunities at Responsive. Each SDR plays a key role in the lead-to-pipeline process through outbound opportunity generation and inbound lead qualification. The primary focus of an SDR is to introduce qualified prospects to their Account Executive counterparts.

Responsive’s sales team is a revenue-driving team in a high-growth SaaS company. An effective SDR will understand the company’s vision, goals, and strategy. You will maintain up-to-date knowledge of the Response Management market. As a part of the sales development team, you will leverage messaging and collateral, conduct research, and perform multi-channel outreach activities to nurture and qualify leads that will convert to opportunities, and ultimately new customers. SDRs should be comfortable communicating across a variety of channels including email, phone, and social media.

Essential Functions

  • Generate qualified opportunities at target accounts with outbound prospecting 

  • Share market feedback with Account Executives and Sales Development teams

  • Prospect into target accounts through calls, emails, and social outreach

  • Qualify inbound leads and identify potential opportunities

  • Schedule meetings for Account Executives

  • Follow structured outreach sequences and messaging frameworks

  • Learn how to research accounts and identify key decision-makers

  • Maintain accurate activity tracking in Salesforce and Outreach

  • Collaborate with your team to hit shared goals

Knowledge & Skills

  • Familiarity with sales technology including Salesforce CRM, Outreach, LISN, Zoominfo, 6Sense, and Demodesk 

  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)

  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn

  • Ability to handle rejection and stay motivated

  • Strong work ethic and accountability

  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, metrics-driven environment

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred

  • 1+ years of professional experience (sales, customer service, or similar)

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Comfortable working in a metrics-driven, fast-paced environment

  • Demonstrated ability to handle rejection and stay motivated

  • Highly coachable with a willingness to learn and apply feedback

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Additional Information

 

Responsive uses a market-based compensation philosophy. A candidate’s starting base salary will be determined by the specific responsibilities of the role, as well as job-related skills, experience, qualifications, location, and current market trends. The compensation range for this role is $110,000 - $120,000 AUD On-Target Earnings (base + commissions), depending on experience and location.  Our recruiting team will provide details on the applicable range as well as other benefits based on your location during the hiring process. 

 

Responsive embraces a global flexible workforce model with offices in Dallas, TX, Kansas City, MO, Coimbatore, India and Dublin, Ireland. For this role, candidates must be located in Australia. Relocation and visa support is not available for this position.
